What does sealant actually do?
It's SiO₂ sealant, the same chemistry family as a ceramic coating. Water and grime bead off the same way, and you skip the paint correction.
Water beads and rolls off
Instead of sheeting across the paint and drying into spots.
Grime has less to grip
Dirt, moss and pollen have a harder time bonding, so the car stays clean longer.
The next wash takes half the effort
Through a Pacific Northwest autumn, when everything in the trees lands on your hood, that's genuinely useful.
Two to three months, then it wears off
While it's not as permanent as a ceramic coating, you won't have to polish out scratches and swirls before we apply the sealant.
What's included in the Standard Exterior Detail?
Typically an hour and a half, washed by hand start to finish. No automatic brush touches the paint.
Two-bucket hand wash
Clean water for the mitt every pass, so grit isn't dragged back across the paint.
Wheel faces and barrels
Caked-on brake dust removed, inside the barrel as well as the face.
Fender liners
Where road spray and winter grit actually pile up.
Door jambs
Missed by every automatic wash, and they build real grime when they're neglected.
All paint, plus every edge and seal
Trim gaps, shut lines and badge surrounds. The spots an automatic wash physically can't reach.
Paint sealant on top
Normally a $120 add-on. It goes on at the end, once the paint is clean enough to bond to.

Is $150 really the whole price?
Yes. $150 for the exterior detail, sealant included at no charge. Interior detail quoted separately. Let us know if you'd like to add interior.
How long does it take?
Typically an hour and a half. Book a weekday slot, drop the car, and I'll message you when it's done. Weekends are closed.
Where do I bring the car?
A private appointment-only studio in Redmond. You get the exact address the moment your slot is confirmed. Six-figure cars sit here for a week or more on PPF jobs, so keeping the place quiet is part of looking after them.
My paint has swirls and chips. Does this fix that?
No, and I won't pretend otherwise. While the car is here I'll walk it with you under a light and show you what I'm seeing on your own phone screen. If the honest answer is paint correction or protection film, you'll get a straight number, not a pitch.
